Marty James & Jeremy West from Firesurf Australia have just finished the first Cougar Prototype here in Australia. They first approached Carl Lambert (Popeyethewelder) earlier this year with an idea to create the Cougar buggy here in Australia. Since then the pair have been working with Carl at building the first Australian Cougar prototype. The purpose of the first buggy was to demonstrate that these buggies could be built here in Australia to a very high standard. The first one is complete and living in Queensland, it will be made available for demo locally following availability interstate shortly after.
I am planning a road trip down south and have a day that, if there is any interest, i could drag my buggy down with me and meet up for a fly or three.
Expected date and location
Yeppoon Sunday 21st September
Could this become the first ever Queensland wide buggy meet?
i am trying to twist my wifes arm into letting me drag the buggy along, and if i have a good enough reason, like a state wide meet, them i stand a look in.

Peter Lynn released the Hornet on their website quite some time ago, it also appeared on television in the UK on the "Gadget Show." However aside from that there has not been to much information available here in Australia. We now have some pictures of the Hornet and seeing just what progress Peter Lynn have been making. The new hornet is a medium-low aspect foil kite aimed at those wanting to start Buggying, Landboarding or just flying a 4 line kite. Whilst it is a 4 line traction kite on handles it has been designed to run off the front lines making the adaptation from two lines to four lines much easier.
Pansh have been working on a new race kite recently, however it has not gone without question and speculation. The new race kite is rumored to have had multiple prototypes and changes along the way, which is not unusual. Unusual however is to have an early prototype of a kite which is extremely similar to an existing kite of another brand. Accusations have flown back and fourth with each of Pansh's new kites, at some point claims of them being a "copy" have been made. Up until this point however there has been no evidence that Pansh use other kites as the basis for their prototypes.
Extreme Kites caught up with Flexifoil team rider Sy Leonard aka Sylenz for an interview. Sy took the time out to talk to us about the growth and changes in land kiting, discuss the importance of the correct equipment and how the freestyle buggy scene is changing. He also shed some light on his world famous Gravity Renegades video and his new up coming website Sylenz Films that is in production. Sy also discussed some of Flexi's past, present and future ideas.
