Well, where do I start????...... I have wanted to own a PTW buggy since seeing popeyethewelder blasting across Mablethorpe beach (UK)on Youtube over a year ago. Then, twelve months on, I find myself sat in one...grinning from ear-to-ear, not wanting to give it back. I never thought for one moment that I would actually own one! Carl's buggy-building signature is his high attention to detail, and specialist knowledge of the materials he uses, along with the dedication for getting a superb mirror finish at every stage of conception. This one is a little different....It has a matt finish! This is exactly what I wanted and made to my specifications. I am now the proud owner of a limited edition race buggy. Excellent build and quality backed by Carls professional customer focused approach.....it's a World Class job.... Rear wheels: Asymmetric hubs with Bigfoot tyres- 11 grooves Front wheel: Barrow hub with Bigfoot Light- 9 grooves Axle length:1600mm (an extra 25mm each end if you include the nuts) Swankneck: 60mmx40mm Side rails are higher and longer than the original Cougar I (not measured) Seat and rail covers from www.buggybags.co.uk All stainless steel Over here in the UK there are a few of us that just want to go faster and faster. If its high speed straight line beach racing your after.....this is the baby to deliver the goods. I have used the Access 6m and an Ozone Little Devil and have no problems digging in and powering up. The buggy keeps a straight line and it is still possible to power slide into a turn keeping total control even with the axle being at the width it is. The PTW Cougar II also performs great on grass! The position of the seat (centralised) gives an unbelievable comfy ride and irons out most bumps. Many people have commented about sliding to much on Bigfoots but of course, you have to adjust the tyre pressure but thats normal for most buggies! The pictures were taken on the beach.....it is what the buggy was built for....a no-nonsense, workhorse capable of delivering high speeds and big cheesy grins from its pilot. Saying I'm happy with the result is an understatement, thanks to everyone that contributed to its conception. I will enjoy riding my PTW Cougar II for many years to come.
