Interested in knowing when the next main event is on? Keep checking back this page is dedicated to events run by Extreme Kites or which we are involved with and helping. There are also sponsors who help make these events possible and are as equally responsible for their success. These are friendly and fun weekends or weeks away where you can meet some great people and get involved. If you have never really kited before then these events may be the perfect introduction in to getting you hooked on kiting!

Labour Day Weekend '09

Grab a buggy, landboard, kiteboard, whatever but get yourself there! It will be a fun packed four days, with lots of other kiters there to meet and have a blast with. There will be prizes, giveaways and as usual a huge range of new and current gear to try.

Where is it happening?

Labour Day Weekend '09 happens at Sandy Point in Victoria. A small town based on the coast of Waratah bay. It is approximately 2.5 hours drive east from Melbourne.

Event Agenda
Saturday 7th March: Arrival (Casual Flying)
Sunday 8th March: BBQ Sunday Night
Monday 9th March: Buggy and Landboard Race
Tuesday 10th March: Departure (Casual Flying)

Mini Golf
In the event that we may not get ideal wind for the race a Mini Golf Tournament will be held as backup and prizes allocated there.

Accommodation
You can book yourself some Accommodation through Extreme Kites or organise your own. Booking through Extreme Kites costs $95 gives you the benefit of 4 nights accommodation, a BBQ dinner, Propaganda Bag for the event which includes an Event T-Shirt and entry in to competitions and prizes. Accommodation very is limited.

Bookings & Payments
The last day to book Accommodation with Extreme Kites is on Friday February 6th. All bookings and payments must be received by this date. You are only allocated a spot once payment has been received. Accommodation is limited and as in most cases, we cut off accommodation bookings well before the allocated date above as we fill the spots quickly. Credit Card payments can be accepted*

Cancellations
All cancellations must be requested before Friday February 6th 2009, any later then this you will not receive a refund unless we can fill the spot.

Optional Registration
If you are not staying with us, and have organised your own accommodation but would still like to be part of things there is a $25 registration fee. This will register you with Extreme Kites for the event, include a T-shirt, propaganda bag and a BBQ dinner on our social night.

Insurance & Local Guidelines
We advise all attendees have registered 3rd party insurance when attending any event. All Extreme Kites registered individuals will receive a map outline of local kiting rules and regulations for the event in the Propaganda Bag.
