I am looking at buying a Little Devil 2.1m. The kite would be as a beginners kite for my girls and for myself in really high winds. I have a Flexfoil 3.3m and Little Devil 4.5m which I use at the moment with a PL buggy. We get serious winds here on the east coast of India.
What are the better/more responsive kites in this small sizes???

Go for the little devil. I have a LD 2.1 and I love it. I have also flown a 2m blade. The LD is more stable and has less lift.... great for a buggy. If its a beginners kite, also try the Firebees. I have a 4m one and its great for traction activities and nice and cheap. FOr the cost of an LD you'd be able to get a 1m firebee for the kids and a 2m for yourself.
Whats the 4.5 LD like? I have flown a 3m LD and though it was pretty good.

Hi Shane,
Please define better/ more responsive.
You could go for one of the race kites. These have much more speed and with that comes power. They do tend to require more input from the pilot though to get the best out of them.
Ones to look for are Ozone(company) Razor(kite name), Libre Bora, Airea Raptor, Advance Off-road and a few I no doubt have not included.
The Blade is one option so is Flexi's Bullet, like the Little Devils these are a novice kite. These are designed to be very stable and forgiving, but do lack the performance offered by other kites.
The most responsive kite I know of is a Revolution. This is a four line kite designed to do the most awesome tricks. This kite does not pull though. They do how ever produce one that pulls called the Blast.
The next most responsive kite would be the C-Quad. I have alot of them and they are not the easiest kite to fly and pack but are quite cheap if you want grunt for a cheap price.
A web site to cheak out is:

Lots of reviews, to help you make your mind up
Good luck with trying to decide what to get.
If you can, always try before you buy. But stuck in India I don't think that there are many kite shops around.

The 4.5LD was my first kite and is a very stable kite to fly. It is very forgiving and has good pull for buggying. Over here where the wind can be gusty at times the LD works well

Shane,
check this company out.
Gin gliders. They make the Yoz.
It sounds like a very good kite and there is a distributer in India.
Saw the review on racekites.com web site, all good news.

If you get one please tell us what you think of it.

the Ld's do handles gusts reasonably well.
What you probably should also tell us, is what weight your daughters are perhaps the 2.1mtr might possibly be too big for them depending on their size.
In terms of responsiveness...for sure you cant beat the race kites that are out there, but the LD ceratinly will offer very good value for money if that's what you really want, plus you have the good build quality that Ozone have with their kites, but in all honesty most of the leading manufacturers do offer very well built kites .
