Tim runs the Kite House in Port Fairy.
He won last years open buggy comp. with Airea Raptors, he is (or was) the Australian dist. for them.
He broke his foot peg in the second buggy race at Altona. Ring a bell?
Also hows your dad like his new kite???

Word travels fast. Yeah my dad bought a 4m quadrafoil and a land lizard buggy. We havent flown it yet, in about 2 hours we will give it a try.

But did you look at the lines of the kite nigel???. All four of them are the same strength which apears to be 150lbs or less. The rear lines have extensions on them of about 2 metres. Thats not right, main lines should not stretch that much. What do you think? is this kite a death trap should, I buy new lines or what?

I was thinking of getting 500 by 300 lines for it?

I have flown it, and found no probs with it.
If you want stronger line try 300 over 150.
I run with this set up for my two largest c_quads (6.3,4.2) and on the smaller ones 300 over 200.
The strengths are actually 330lbs and 220lbs.
These lines came from Mick and have proved very good. I have had my sets for over a year and they are still in almost perfect condition.
Bar the 3.2 lines, after some mongo last week had a kite 5 meters in the air (Diamond kite) and he was standing half the length of Moran res. away from it.
It was so low that I lost about 2 meters on one of my power lines and then had to shorten the rest. A kite does not fly well on three lines.
He almost took out some bike riders when they used the other part of the bike track. Missed their heads by about 30cm.
I think he had builders twine or some thing like that.
You could move upto 400 and 200, but I would not go up any more due to your weight and the design of the kite.
I would keep the 150's and get either 300 or 400, you only have to buy one set then too $$$
