Yes, got myself a seat belt two weeks ago, used it three times now. Thanks Neil!!!!
Had a blast today, PL comp buggy and 4.2 C-Quad in 15-16 knots.
Lots of power, and so I thought I would try to jump the buggy.
Had a few attemps including a half twister, but boy I did not think that I would do a fulll twister, 4 foot in the air. :D :D
Thought I should better stop after bending axle bolt (high tensile).
The twister was seen by atleast 6 people, and tomorrow they will have there videos so if we are lucky then it will be on tape!!!!!
Or the big stack, or the PL buggy falling apart??
Any one else tried twisters????
Or am I just the only accident waiting to happen??

or prehaps a buggy falling 4ft after the c-quad luffs lol, but that is unlikely to heppen with nigel at the helm... mmm lets break some stuff

Your right, I don't give the PL buggy very long to live.
Good thing is now that I am a welder I can make the replacement parts, stronger and better than a PL buggy.
New axle and side rails are the first two items required, as I don't give the PL ones much of a life if I keep doing twisters.
Also generally a kite will only luff after the jump, so I think I should be alright. But did take two flip overs on Sunday.
Investing in some body armour might be a good idea.

such as a neck brace so when u do break ur neck u can stabilise it straight away, but i will agree buggy jumping is fun i use to do it with my 840then i was told what i was doing wasnt safe and i shouldnt do it any more, so what did i do i got a mountainboard, i belive that may be more dangerous, i have hurt myself more with that i can assure you.

Well we have had another round of the Victorian power kite series.
I did come first but I am quite annoyed, that Guy Neil that I got the seat belt off showed me up when he did a full twister durring the race on Sunday, and it's on tape. :(
Always copying me Neil.
But I will commend you for it.

You can show it on funniest home videos as long as I get some of the money. :D
Your dad did get me on vidoe doing the BMX track Shultzee.
Alex also got me too.
He did like the way my head smacks into the ground twice!!
As always please wear your helmets folks 8)
I tend to have more stacks at slower speeds than fast speeds.
Usually with a lagre kite trying to do things like going backwards on two wheels, and getting it wrong.
What we need to do is a video of stacks at the buggy races for each series. :D
I did like what Criag did to his buggy in the last minutes of the day. Or should I say what broke on another PL buggy!!!
I don't think my comment "That wouldn't happen in a Libre buggy" went down well.
The side rail at the axle mount broke while being used, it only had 5mm of tube over lapped beyond the weld. Very poor, shows the quality of those PL buggies. The side rails are the race rails, so they are designed to take a bit of use, don't know how old they are.
Must stop rambling.
