Hello folks,

just moved to oz from the UK and looking to hook up with any people that would like to go fly in my local area. I live in Bayswater North, Melbourne, Victoria. Drop me a mail if you live nearby or if you can recommend any good spots near here.

Cheers,
Dom

G'Day Mate!!!
Hope you enjoy the wonderful summer that is about to hit us.
Can't help you with your local kiting spots but there are several listed in the "locations" section.
You will find me most weekends at Moran res. Small park, sometimes busy and very nice eye candy!!! I love summer!!!
Feel free to turn up at the race meet, as there will be a good range of skills on display. Some better than others. Just turn up and have a play in between the races if you want. No pressure at all.
Hope to see you there.

Nigel

Crikey! What a warm welcome! i sure aint in the UK anymore! Well, i recreational fly (scud n jump etc) and landboard (Blade 3 6.6, Kheo Air-s) too. Not hugely experienced, so i wont be competing (plus the fact that i cant make it to Geelong this weekend, thanks for the invite though) but i have the passion for the sport!
Got me a melways, so i will be scouting out all the areas that i hear mentioned so when i have a van, i will be doing the rounds. At the moment, i am fairly restricted to the local vacinity, so anywhere like croydon, bayswater, ferntree, boronia and ringwod, i can get to.
gotta say, the winds round here are pretty fierce at times, very gusty so i am wondering whether i should have sold all my smaller kit before i left the UK!?

Oh it doesnt matter that you dont have much experience, it just means you wont win the race but who cares as long as you have fun :). Pity about you dont have a van. Hope you get a vehicle in time for the round after. But if you really do want to come along, its possible to catch a train all the way from bayswater to geelong.

If you have an atb you may be interested in the website www.ausatb.org .
