Nelson beach

Does anyone know what the beach is like at Nelson - mouth of the Glenelg river? Is the sand hard?

the beach at nelson is hard and long
about 80 k's from the river mouth to portland very long beach
i have been meaning to try it out myself.
I am not shure what it would be like up the beach from the mouth
but from where I was standing 6 months ago when I was the checking it out it looked very good.
let me know if u r going there I will come over and we will go for a
run on the beach..... :D

We might have to try it out over the New Year period.
Sounds like it might be worth a try Crowie!!
Could also do the dunes at Portland.
Comming to Port Fairy for the kite race Gav??
Could go around then.
