G'day dazz
have u picted up anymore kites since u have been away
and when r u coming back to australia
p.s came 3 rd in in my first race in open class buggy race last week end.
no more kite yet.. but have had a guy trying to sell me advanve offraod kites for cost, but travel comes first. we are going on a road trip in march up north in sweden then a bit of europe, denmark germany switzerland france etc.. so cant afford a new one, but ive met a few guys here with lots of different kites and all willing to share even a guy who said he would teach me to paraglide.. scary stuff
been snowing all night, managed to scam a free pair of skis, a snowboard and some skates for the winter so should be good.. all the lake here freeze so instead of kite surfing you can snowkite just a bit harder than normal snow to fall on. comming back to oz round september i think Via middle east and africa(if i can afford it)

Let me know of any good spots to snowkite in Scandanavia as I'm off to demark next year to work.
cheers
Pete
heaps of nice long beaches (apparently) north of copenhagen and in south of sweden.. but not sure of the snow situation yet..
i know there is a event called foil fest (www.foilfest.com) around august sometime, i think its mainly water stuff though. here is the email of a guy that has a shop there somewhere.. he said if i ever get down that way to drop him a line and he'd point me in the right direction.

well looks like my long awaited trip to the swedish ski resorts for 4 days of snowkiting is turning into 4 days of snowboarding.. oh well.
just checked the weather forcast and its going to be sunny, -15 to -25 and a howling 6 knots.. :x

6 knots would be ok with a big (say 9m) blade. beg steal or borrow!
just got back from a 7 day trip above the arctic circle.. f?#%ing awesome.. only one day kiting because of the lack of wind but that day turned into a blizard, and i got lifted dragged and thrown around so much i didnt need any more. and that was just with a little devil 4.5m but started off in about 15-20 knots and about -5 degrees and all of a sudden it was about -15 degrees 35knots shitloads of snow, almost zero visability and a long way from home it was awesome.. never been as fast or as high with my kite. and as i was in the middle of a frozen lake about 7km accross and the wind was blowing towards home.... :P i didnt have to worry about hitting anything... all i could do is hold on and hope.. .. but made it back to the snow scooter with no serious injury.
apart from that went to the ice hotel saw the northern lights, did some ice fishing had a bbq in -28degrees(had to leave my beer on the bbq so i could drink it because it froze)when there was no wind cruised around the lake on my snowboard behind the scooter.. found some awesome snow kiting spots for anyone that want to go in northern sweden.
heading for a 5 week drive into europe on saturday
hope your adventures are as fun as mine

ha, not likely!!!
But it's sure nice to hear about yours - keep the info coming!
We'll be snowkiting for sure this winter - perhaps you could make a September trip? If you're not all snowkited out that is :)
Cheers,
Goshen
