What a great day at altona! The wind on the first race was a bit ordinary, but the second was just brilliant. Couldn't have asked for a better day... except if I didn't have a blowout, and get sunburnt, but shiit happens. Looking forward to the next ...

Yes, it was a great day for a race.
I think you must have got my bad luck from the last race at Altona, I had a flat on the front back then.
The wind was a bit dissapointing as the forcast was for much stronger winds and silly me only packed for the forcast. Wish I had my 6.3 for the races, but the 4.2 did very well.
Atleast you didn't land your kite in the trees like Alex. :)
I too sport a bright red nose and face, looks like if been on the turps.
Missed a few regular faces but got some new ones to make up for it.
Well done Micheal Harris for showing up the Raptors, with those quite old blades.
And Neil, you are NOT to play dodge-em cars with fellow buggiers.

yes it was a great day,

I would like to thank the folowing people for use and assitance with kites: Thankyou Goshen for the Blade, Mick for the Bora??? and especially Ross for the raptor and for racing around the track after me (on foot) giving advice.

Oh and i also got a cool stress ball thingy from goshen for coming third in the intermediate buggy race (i know there were only 3 competitors)

I had a great time in the buggy, it was very massaging on that field

while every one is saying how happy they were on how they went i was also happy with how i went apart from spraining my ankle (which is all better now thanks to nigle), but that is what happens when you do big jumps and f up the landing but as we can say F-Arcing Arc, still dont know how i was racing it against the others when most were using 6.4 blades and 4.9blades, how did i use my 16 ? :p it is all good cant wait for the beach run now... look out for those plyons/rocks... or am i thinking of the wrong beach?

and angus i can beat ur stress ball i got the "boobi" prize lol

 The dodgems were definately unintentional Nigel, I just put it down to extremely close racing. After all it was a good race for all in the second, even though I didn't place well, I had fun doing it.

Abusing the kite, swearing at the wind gusts in the wrong places and the wind luls in others, silently cursing the two that dominated the races that I didn't have a hope in catching  bad race decisions that landed me in a tree also.

All in all just another typical race day on The Duke's calender, OH WELL, MAYBE NEXT RACE WILL BE MINE
