Thanks

Thanks jsea,
I might go for that if I can't get a cheaper used one.

Try our Sydney store, as I've only got my own Frenzy 04 9.5m left in Geelong.
An awesome kite, but we've sold so few of them that you'll be lucky to find one used anywhere.
Cheers,
Goshen

Thanks Goshen,
I've seen your Sydney store website prices. Good prices for brand new 2003 models. I just got into kiteboarding but unfortunately at the end of summer and with winter coming along I'm really looking forward to trying landboarding and snowkiting.
Is there much difference between 03 and 04 Frenzy. I'm wondering whether it is worth the extra cost for a current model. I think I read that the 04 has a spinning leash.
Also, I'd like to use this kite between 5-15(maybe 20) knots landboarding so I was wondering if the 12m or 9.5m was the way to go. I'm 85kg (and decreasing :) )
Thanks.
Tough decision isn't it?
Well unless they have another Kite Power Sydney has just sold the 03 7.3 to a mate of mine. But as far as I am aware they still have the 9 and the 12m available.
We tried out the 03 and the 04 to see if there was much of a difference between the two, unfortunately we could only try a 9m in 04 and 7 in 03, in a REAL weak wind. What we found was that, in my opinion, the 04 9m turned just as fast as the 03 7m which would indicate a pretty big diff between the 03 and 04 in the same size. Couldn't really test lift diff due to wind conditions so can't really comment there, sorry. As for the spinning bar you can do that with the 03 too its a pretty sweet set up with awesome safety specs. The only prob that we found was the kill strap that attaches to your wrist (or to the harness as we have set it up) gets tangled in the lines when you spin. There's probably a simple solution to this but we wanted to fly not spin the bar  so we'll work that one out later.
Decided on getting the 03 simply due to the damn good price. It just seemed too good a buy to let it go, for yes a bit of a difference, but close to $1000 diff?? ($800 i think was the exact diff) it's up to you. I would go for the 03 but again it's up to you.
I currently weigh just under 70KG and have over 12months experience with landboarding (and still lovin it :D ) I would be quite comfortable with the 9m possibly the 12 (but that's my next dilema). So I think for you to be a decresing 85kg, with the massive depower that this kite has to offer the 9m would suit you fine.
We had a top fly on sunday winds between 15-20kts and damn that frenzy flies! My advice if you can, try it before you buy it, be sure you get what you enjoy.

Here, here jsea, I agree... what a great kite!!!
I am 85kg and the '03 picked me up with ease when I powered it up on Sunday. Very stable and smooth. Haven't tried it in gusty conditions yet though. I did notice that I likes to be kept busy, but turns real nice, a little faster and smoother through the turn than my 6.4 blade II, if you really push it.
Definitely agree with jsea though, try (if you can) before you buy, it's a much different kite to fly than any other I have flown before, but gets the thumbs up from me!
Also think someone of 85kg could easily hold down one that was bigger, the 7.3 barely pulled at all when depowered.

Thanks for the help everyone.
I'm in the process of getting one from the US. Only been used once for an hour and a reasonable price too even after shipping and customs.
By the way its a 2004 9.5m red in colour.

Well my red Frenzy 2004 9.5m finally turned up after almost three weeks. I thought it was still stuck in customs but turns out the post office had it on Monday and just didn't tell me. Even worse is that I went in on Tuesday to ask if it had arrived and they said it hadn't!
Anyway got it now so can't wait to play with it. I'm so glad I got it before the weekend!
