I'd be interested but is it okay that I'm a beginner?

Where are you thinking of snowkiting?

we are organising a trip to eithor bulla or falls creek, but for those who are in melbourne keep your ears open as we are looking at making spur of the moment trips, contact goshen for more info, i might be interested in another trip to threadbo but it really is not all that good there... skill factor is not important, i had never snowboarded before and after 1 lesson that was all i needed to have the basic heel side manovours to get me going, bring the winter on

I spent some time in the NSW mountains over summer. It looks like some areas near charlots pass would be OK too but they would be very wind dependant. With the wind going the wrong way you'd be walking up a big ass hill at the end of a session. BUt... if the wind was right you'd have slopes as far as the eye can see with no trees.

Anyway, I'd make the pilgramige to the VIC alps if thats where the action will be. Any ideas yet on a time frame ?

Maybe we all just go to NZ ?

yeah well chalotts pass is a great option, and also the car park at perisha, but as you say it is very wind dependant, (i am originally form up that way). as far as dates go it will hopefully be during a holiday, or spetember again, goshen is looking at organising it so im sure he will let us know at he gets more organised

the 4.9 is the perfect crusing size you would probably want a 2m kite if the wind squalls up and maybe a 6 or 8 m kite if it is really light. will make the trip up there this year if money allows so keep in contack and as always will post any plans on here.
