If my details are correct, then there are only three Libre buggyies in Australia. (Are there any more??? Anyone???)

A special in Qld.
A V-Max (Mild Steel) here in Vic.
A V-Max Full-Race (Stainless) of which I own.

Sorry I am NOT parting with it :!:

You could order one, but it will not be cheap. But then nothing this good is cheap.

What or why do you want a Libre for???
The only two buggyies I know of that are generally available are the PL range and the Flexi buggy.

You may even have to consider making one to fit your specs, if the others don't fit the bill, or the Libre blows out the bill.

Good luck

Thanks for the reply, I'm after a libre buggy because I found the peter lynn a bit flimsy and a bit unstable at high speed, I'd like to go faster with more stability.
Have you used a peter lynn? if so how would you compare it against a libre?
Regards

PL to Libre??? Umm... Chalk to cheese would be about it.

The Libre is super stable at speed, and sticks like sh!t to a blanket.
So much so I have to be careful about rolling it, it does not slide.
I am running 20 inch bike wheels and these are great, but you would get less grip if you ran the standard barrow wheels.
I have a PL comp which I use as my trick buggy, but that will soon no doubt destroy its self due to the stress I put on it.
I have gone through several side rails, forks and axles for the PL but the Libre has not even once looked like falling apart. Except for the person (me) who did not tighten the bolts on the axle which caused it to flop over to max camber durring a race.

I know alot of people in the Flexi forums all say that the V-Max is one of the best buggyies around if speed is you objective. It is cheaper than the full race, and comes in powder coated mild steel.
If funds stretch, I would get it in stainless steel.
An expensive buggy like this is an investment, and I doubt very much that in 4-5 years after your friends have gone through several bits for their PL's, that you would have spent a hell of a lot more than them in the long run.

The more time I spend in this sport the more it seems to me that the PL range of buggyies is poorly designed and made.
They make great first time buggyies, but if you wish to advance then you will have to get some other buggy from another company. Or make it yourself.
This is the dirrection I am moving to as the PL comp slowly falls to bits.

Hope that helps.

Don't worry, the V-Max is not a bad bit of kit.

You should have many happy hours with your new Libre. :D

Most recent count on Libre buggyies, 5 as far as I know.
Should be more if Bris kites have been selling them.
