I'm going down for a few days starting on the 19th.

I saw something about bans. Are there any kiting bans on Waratah bay?

And is anone gonna be around, or are there any things going on somewhere close by?

you at warratah bay or sandy point? if at sandy point there is no kiting between ned neals look out and some other look out past the lift saving club, u can kite near the life saving club but stay at least 50-100m away from it and when passing people go easy and dont hit them.

Spot on Justin, the stretch of restricted beach, is as Justin said, from Ned Neales Lookout to the west of Sandy Point to the Manuka St marker on the dunes to the east.
It is just to slow traffic out the front of the Surf lifesaving club where most of the beach users sit. About 300m out of the 20km so not a problem and you can set up and head out from there without a problem or cruise through slowly to access the other end of the beach.
I'll be down for a sail while your there, how long are you staying?
Cheers
Kem

for once i got it right... but i still got to make it look bad, dont want the community making money for their mistakes on the stupid rule...
nigel do you remember the po box address cause i dont... and if so are you going to complain?

Why waste your time, go fly a kite.
Waratah Bay is my local beach, I have no prob's with the reg's, and if you do, go fly elsewhere. I don't want anyone hassling them, and causing an outright ban of our sports, because we won't work with the community for the safety of all.
Plenty of wind and hard sand.
See you out there.

I'm gonna be around for about a week. Don't know which days I'll be flying, but hopefully every day which has good wind. Should see you there.

And I won't be at Sandy point, I'll be further west.

I'll keep an eye out for you.
The eastern end is generally better wind, as it is further from the Cape Liptrap ridge, which causes some wind distortion with anything from the west.
Get out on the spit if you get the opportunity as it has the cleanest strongest winds.
Cheers
