no I havent tried it.

But if you are on concrete with your blades dont use a "big ass kite" as you put it. Otherwise if your on grass with infatable wheeled blades yeah go right ahead.

Dont know the websites right now and am in a rush to go off so I wont get them now, but if you want to search for Doomwheels or Skiting or Kiteblading. all those should give you a bit of info. basically they are just using "off road blades" with a kite on grass or sand

Hehe

Yeah I tried it a few times before I was able to get the funds for my mountain board.

Its pretty cool but be careful. Its not like ATBing where if you screw up you jump off do a couple of silly steps and recover, you can't I repeat CAN NOT get a good foot hold on the ground after a gust hits you, you run over a pothole or any little mistake!

I am a competent street blader and consider myself to be able to get out of pretty hairy situations but the last time I went out with blades I ended up over grass, jumping over one side of a carpark's railing hop skip and another jump over the other sides railing and landed flat on my face, back on grass with pants round my ankles!

Was truly funny for my friends and anyone else watching but yeah be careful on them, WEAR PADS!!!!

oh and have fun ;)

ps: you can go over grass if you no longer care about your bearings the kite pulls you across without any probs at all!!!!

It would be more like the other way around.. Put on Blades, then grab big ass kite and put it in the air.

I've tried it with some off-road blades that were being demo'd, and while it'd be nice to try again, I don't think they have the 'Ease of use' that a mountainboard does, and yes - it'd be very easy to bust you legs on them, as you've no means of escape.
