The final round of the 0405 Kitetraction Series is coming up on Sunday 13th March 2005!

At: Belmont Common, Geelong (maps on the KP website).
When: Sunday 13th March; 10am till 5pm.

Up for a weekend of flying?
- Sunday night dinner (and possibly DVD night - numbers depending).
- There will be some kiting on Saturday (Land & Water), and an early morning Beach Session on Monday 14th (it's a public holiday).
Low tide is 9:50am - and it's a damn low tide. Come and have a cruise on the beach down at Ocean Grove (wind depending of course).

Please RSVP (PM me, email or reply here) so we can better organise the weekend regarding food, dinners, etc.

IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN ALONG BEFORE - WE'D LOVE TO SEE YOU!

Here are the incentives:
- Have a go at flying kites, buggying and boarding with other like minded flyers.
- $100 CASH PRIZE - DRAWN AT RANDOM (Anyone who enters this final round might win!).
- Free BBQ lunch, drinks etc, for all competitors
- Major prizes and trophies for the series winners, including over $500 in goods and vouchers from Kitepower.

The racing is still very casual - there is no pressure to compete at any sort of level - we are all out there for fun.

Please check out the results and info on the series at:
http://www.kitepower.com.au/news/index.php?id=1,27,0,0,1,0

It is updated with the cumulative score results for the Series.
The best 3 results from all the rounds will decide the final winner!

Feedback welcome...

Goodwinds,
Goshen

I'm going to come. Not competing though. at the moment i have no work from fri till monday so i'm thinking of going up to ocean grove and camp for a couple of days and work on my buggying and boarding skills (loads of work needed at this stage!!!)

hopefully it will be a good turnout - looking forward to watching a race.

Goshen, now he has a car, that other form of transport does not exist.

I doubt he would lower himself to that level just to come to the meet?

I like the way how Justin is going to leave his mum and dad at home and expect them to pimp up his car.
Can I leave mine there to???
Lets see, what can we do to pimp up a Camry wagon??
Tined windows.
Remove rear seats and replace with bed. Cow or tiger print shag pile??
Plasma screen behind front seats to show movies, this should also be able to be moved and hang off the rear of the wagon when entertaining many people.
Beef up speakers and have doof doof playing.
What about that under car neon stuff??
Mirror finished chrome wheels
Nitros injection kit, with V8 out of a Lexas.

AND, a trailor with a fully pimped up matching buggy!!!! 8)

Sorry for high jacking thread

Ok here goes. i have lost reverse, and have to double clutch 3rd and the 4th syncro is about to let go. motor is using around a litre of oil per 1000km... and is running really badly... however i happen to have a nice car sitting outside my bedroom window with what appears to be a nice motor. ok the transmission is stuffed but i have 2 other spare transmissionsout back and one of them is good... so am going to swap the transfere cases overand then have 1 good transmission that will let me do more serious 4wding....

just spoke to dad about it and i may have my car for sunday but cant promise anything as yet.... will keep you posted...

dinner sunday night sounds ok but due to the car situation wont be stopping in gellong over night soz.

dont eva say..."my car will be ready on XXXX day" as murphy's law will come into play and the car wont leave the garage for another week or so, hehe.. i have had that problem my whole time with cars, so instead say..."my car MIGHT be ready, if all GOES to plan.......touch wood"

i MIGHT have my car on the road this coming weekend, so i can come meet up if i aint kitesurfing.

if i was to come can i try a kitebuggy? as i am starting to make one, and i would like to have a shot b4 i finalise the design of chassis, controls, etc. so who's game to let me have a shot??

damm it i am hijaking.........sorry...........i plan to be there next sunday, touch wood.

ok heres the deal, my car wont even be going near the shed till sunday any way. becasue we need to take the motor and gear box out of the othercar and then go over everything on hte motor... and then rebuild the gearbox... FUn fUN and dad gets to do it all with my help. :D

so i expect things not to go to plan and find that sunday will be still working on hte donor motor and gearbox.

hence i should have my car... will know sat night weather i do or not.

looking ok for tomorrow... seabreeze winds in the arvo, but whether we get the 15 knots is another thing. i'll bring the frizbee.

nb: if the event doesn't proceed, then there is a chance to reschedule it for early next month. dvd night will happen only if there is enough persons interested in participating. this will all be organised on the day. (I'm posting a bit late, so have the feeling I'm just talking to myself!)
