I weigh 65kgs so an 8m has me more than enough power in 20 knots

Its always a concern to read that someone is not sure what wind will be required for a kite they own SwifT
so be careful mate, you will not want to be anywhere near the snow or where you could possibly use that kite in 20 knots.
You probably need about 1/2 to 2/3rds the power needed to get going on water for snow use, and the kite is not well suited to snow and where you will be going.
Exercise EXTREME care, when using an inflato kite on the snow in small areas like you will have, plus winds can be very gusty and unpredictable.
Ideal conditions is probably 7-15 knots for snow, otherwise the wind chill and white out make conditions unpleasant and risky.
Foils are the go for snow.

Yeah i heard from a few older mates that my 8m will be the go, i do know what wind range my kite has but apparently wind up at the snow is a bit stronger (more dense) than the winds we get down here because of the colder climate.
Thanks for your input anyway.
correct me if i am wrong.:D

No worries SwifT, just be careful and stay well away from any other skiers, car and carparks, trees etc.
Air temp makes a beedick of difference, just go with what you know already, but for sure the wind is much more gusty up there.
Launch with your leash on the flagging ring, rehearse in your mind releasing to the leash in an instant.
