Mate the rev kites are very twitchy, it took me two or three months to master. Cause they are a trick presision kite, it makes it hard for the begginer. The only tip I can give you is dont give up, I nearly gave up with fustration at one point with my fev SLE, but once I got the hang of it I went out to Kite Power and bought the Shockwave, then went back and bought the BLAST, then back again for the BLAST 2-4, then the last kite I bought was the BLAST 4-8, You would think I had a rev addiction.

Give Brad Gee a message mate (if you can find him), I have seen him fly a Rev (or his HQ equivilent) like no one else! I do believe he won a gold medal at some Stunt Kite championship in his prime :)

Pretty sure The Master Yoda would be also able to teach you a thing or 2 ;)

Another good video taken recently in the UK, a very good example of very controlled flying.

No problems helping out Sinbad.

Always keep equal tension on both the brakes and the power lines, this is the secret.
From here you can adjust in small steps to get the desired result.

If the rear skin is flapping as the kite travels forward, more brake!!

You need to slow your movements and forget all the things you know with four line foils.
A Rev is a far different beast.
But if you can fly a Rev, everything else is easy!! :D

Remember, the brakes are what makes this kite turn and fly well, don't try and turn the kite off the power lines.
Buy a C-Quad, that'll teach you to fly a Rev. :p

I still have my original rev 1 I bought 18 years ago as per my avatar.

I did have three until last week, I sold a Shockwave. I now own a 1.5 SLE and a 20th Anniversary, as shown in my avatar. Would like a B series vented.

That John Barresi bloke sure knows his stuff eh. Thanks for the vid links.. :) Here's another from the Rev website.. my favourite, I guess. It's kind of a "showcase" video.. good for folks who have never seen one before.. ie me, until a few weeks ago..

YouTube - Revolution Intro (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=kCl_wyjJpRE)

Stunning control with these things !

Actually I just saw my very first one "in the flesh" at Kite-Tober. No idea what kind of Rev it was. The guy wasn't even attending the event.. just some other bloke on the beach. Only got to see him fly it for a few moments, unfortunately... and that was from 100m away or so. Wish I had a chance to go talk with him.. but it wasn't to be...
