Rubbish Marty, you don't shop with KP and you've stated that dozens of times.

@Joel and you, read my post, the quoted reply from Chris contained the word that offended Joel so much.

JD is correct, no one knows prices for export from Chris yet, if you want some smaller rims immediately buy them online from kitebuggyshop.com

So long as we get more choice in rims and tyres for our buggies it's win win for Aussie Buggiers :yes3:

    True ....

However, I can only assume Chris is responding to a mail, answering a question :dontknow:

Who sent him this mail asking this question ?

Perhaps this is where the word 'exclusive' was borne :popcorm1:

As for the pricing ... I was only wondering what your forecast would most likely be ....

    Marty
P.S. It's about time Jason and yourself caught up .... I have been running these rims (4 x 8) for over a year now :dance3:

They are Mickey Mouse John .... though the 8 x 8's are more the domain of the race buggy.

    Chris has
    2 1/2' x 8'
    4' x 8'
    and now the 8' x 8'

He has a few other sizes as well but these 3 will be more common to the kite buggy.

Doesn't mean much coming from a middle aged hobbit, no offense taken :drinks:

You posted claiming the article was "porkie pies." Yet I never posted anything about exclusivity, the email to us is merely that Briskites has been granted the distribution and the wheels are coming soon. The only reason the word "exclusivity" would be used in that email would be because you would have most likely been asking about exclusivity in your own email one could assume.

I personally have no issue with the word "exclusivity" however clearly you do. You always had the opportunity to email me privately and ask why we published the article with the information that we did, and we could have explained why to you. However instead you choose to by your definition act like a "tosser" and claim it was porkie pies. :good:

Who cares who is telling porky pies, just get the bloody rims in the country, or review them.

    TO WHOM IT MIGHT APPLY
Also why is it that One Kite shop owner ask us to buy from your local kite shop then when another kite shop says new product coming soon,
That One Kite shop owner now say's buy direct from buggy wheels direct.

Can some people please look at what they are saying and typing, As your really starting to make your self look stupid.
We all know what your like and we have a laugh about it, but what about potentially new users, they read the articles and think "WTF" i might as well buy OS, why support the local shop's.

Just because you don't like something or what somebody is doing or even "they got to it first" so I'm going to make it tough for them.
Its not doing your self any good or your business reputation.
It Is now more and more being viewed as bitchy spoilt little kid not getting his own way, and having a tantrum.

Please think before you put your fingers to the keyboard, if the product needs discussing then do it, Talk about the product not "who has exclusive rights to it" that's the politics of the supplier and the distributor.

    You're a tosser too Terry

Read what I wrote, if people can't wait they know what they can do.
My opinion is they should support their local retailers.

Joel and this forum has been promoting kites and brands that can only be bought online from overseas vendors, get real, get off your puny power pedestal and think before you type, attacking one of the sites sponsors. Think before you type you should not have made a public post like this and that is why you are a tosser too. :D :yes3: :derisive: :P :popcorm1:

Now that everyone has got the love out of their systems for the morning can we get back to discussing the rims and when we can expect to see them arrive in Australia?

Personally I think the 8"x 8"rims are going to be overkill for most buggies here in OZ and I'm interested to see if the 4"x 8" rims and tyres are going to be available as well. I would love to put a set of these on my V-Max. :yes3:

I have seen the ones that Marty has on the Cougar and they look like a very nice piece of gear.

Shhhhh Jamie or you will be called a tosser too :D

@ steve comment wasn't at kitepower, but looks like if the hat fits, you can wear it.

Back to the rims, how about a poll with the following.
If you could buy these rims for $100 each which kiteshop would you buy them from.
    !.?
    2.?
    3.?
    4. or buy them direct because its less hassle.

ROFL The whole topic was about a local distributor, seems to me you are the one who can't read.

I see you are still grinding the axe that Mr.Kitesurf Kites kick yo arse. Here's some porkie pies worth reading about, why don't you tell everyone about that Tattoo parlour that was supposedly opening in Queensland :good:

Steve wrote:and think before you type, attacking one of the sites sponsors.

I'm sure as soon as the "site sponsor" stops being a "tosser" things would rest.

/Now on a more useful note, more useful than a hobbit with a keyboard....
The hole on the rims will not be at the middle, it will be 7cm from the edge. The ones in the middle are a prototype.

    3. Alex Sandz
    4. Seabreeze classifieds

Note on point number 2. I have already bought them direct and it was not a great deal of hassle. Dealing with Chris was great.

Thanks for steering the thread back on track and for not being tempted to make personal attacks, unlike the spanners that "run" this forum. :popcorm1:

True 8x8's will only suit bigfoot sized tyres and larger buggies. Rim sizes 4x8 will help bigfoot light tyres 9and midis) to fill out better, and the 2.5x8's will suit midi and normal barrow tyres

The new Australian Distributorship granted to Kitepower means that we will be importing all sizes of the rims, if you want a particular size please register your interest by sending an email to steve(at)kitepower.com.au and I'll keep in touch about prices and availability.

You are very one eyed Sir. It's a shame that an industry so small has to encumber someone so great :not_i:

    Anyhew .... tis official then.
There are now two shops whom have been granted distributor rights for these mighty wheels.
I am just wondering if JD ends up getting a better price :whistle2:

It will be interesting to compare what all you pay versus the JD import

    But where would I buy

    1. JD import/online - guaranteed the cheapest for me
    2. Kitepower - the closet to me with the amount I want
    3. Alex Sanz - hmmmmmmmm, Joel tells me I'm his team rider, Alex should buy for me

Your scorn and deride is without validation. Perhaps you need some bigger wheels on your buggy .... to make you feel better.
