I appreciate his views of competition regarding enjoying flying rather than taking the fun out of it.

Turning up to events in the UK is good for brand exposure in a country like that especially when Mark & Andy are well regarded freestylers.

To offset this (with the lack of organised freestyle events), more video and pictures, forum presence (they have none) from Eolo would help reach the audience in the UK to tackle Flexi and make some in roads.

With their Savage 2 being cheaper than Flexis comparable kite, they should maximise the opportunity while they can IMO.

Hiya Luke, we do have Andy Preston & Mikee judging the BKSA land events which is wicked for freestyle landkiting though it's not to push his kite which from my point of view is great! Agree with you though, I think we'd all love to see Mark, Richie & Rob there for old times sake. After just one year of completing & not being a youngster myself I appreciate how absolutely knackering it is & to fair sometimes I just can't be r'sd(!) but I really think the BKSA comps are the ones that could be there for a long time to come if we cement the foundations in now. Room for an Aussie or two any time ya like!?! Good to hear yet another person is looking into freestyle buggy inventions, bout time too, them pesky landboarders have had it too good for too long! Not sure I want to fly a kite called "savage" though, especially if it's even more scary than the Blade!!hehe

Nice Interview Joel, the new Savage 2 sounds like it will be one to look out for in the coming months. Sounds like the new buggy they are working on at Eolo will be a big step up from the current design.
