Well seen as i got a new buggy I thought it would be good to have a mudguard rather than a splash guard so had a look at some i'd seen on here on other buggys and the more i looked I thought i'd have to do it myself design one that is so after using rubber that got ripped of while travelling home from the park i decided to make it from plastic and rick told me he could get some then andyfly jumped in and said he'd send a bit up and what size do i need so after telling him it arrives and i set about making a guard to suit my bug and this is what i'v come up with :D

    Like it big fella. :good:

My lino one, flaps it's self to death on the back of my vehicle when travelling.
I've got #2 son on the lookout for some draper matting off the front of a header comb. It's about 2mm thick rubber and canvas reinforced. (Gotta have something that is safe to land on) :P
You look after that bug the workmanship is first class.

I'm working over some radical ideas to get more out of my Chook Chaser during the winter lay off this year.

Will keep you posted as and when it happens,

    Nice job wolfie.... :good:

You transformed that small piece of 3mm HDPE into a practical, attractive accessory that looks great on the Tiger.

No-doubt it'll do a top job and keep the sand out of your smile ......and off your XK t-shirt...... :D

Very, very nice mate....well done :yes3:

    Andy.... :D

Mr Wolf, nice job with the mudguard much better than any splashguard
only thing I've found, is in dry sand the tyre will spin it forward and then it comes back at your face over the front fork
you may need to extend it forward

    Love the bug mate

hey chook i used the 3.5 mm reinforced rubber but it was not STRONG ENOUGH !!and to stop it ripping you need 5to6mm thick then it gets heavy and hard to bend and work the plastic at this stage is looking the way to go will let ya all know after a few runs :D :P :derisive: and yes it is a bit of 3.5mm on the bottom of the guard

Ah ha, keen to see how you go then. My lino one almost drags along the sand behind the wheel and is 260mm wide across the bottom edge to keep the crap off the jatz crackers. :D

that header front should work that shit bloody strong. i've got ours going flat out and the join got hooked on another part stopped it dead took me about 5-6 goes to work out where it was getting hooked but the amount of force it would of had on it surprised it only tore about 10cm not the whole way.
