Some video from the weekend. Only one camera angle though, I couldn't be bothered to stop and put the camera on the kite lines.

yeah, I thought that I had killed the camera, but luckily it is still kicking along :o

Thats actually the first time I have nailed the 360's. I have tryed them the last few outings but could never get right around without coming to a stop. Then I discovered the trick... sack up, more speed and really throw the buggy sideways.

The only NE facing beach locally is the nudist beach at Byron. Turn left at the bp as you head into Byron and follow the road right to the end. Not a real wide beach (but probably good for you bribe folk) and quite a lot of old dudes with their tackle out. Other then that it is kiteable, but I usually just put up with a cross on shore and a shorter run at Evans head which faces east for a couple of km before turning SE as it heads north.
Let me know if you decide to come down for a visit.

    Hi Andy,

that is some impressive control you have there. Your hand placement on the bar is perfect (towards the centre to slow down the kite while in the air) nice work. Great smooth 360's

Only technical thing would be some of those jumps landing sideways, (others were perfect) just keep in mind getting that front wheel facing your direction of travel in the air when coming into land as much as possible especially on a beach very easy to dig a wheel in sideways and go ass over tit.

    Ending was brilliant

Shoot some more video, enjoyed that! :good:

Cheers Luke, that means a lot mate.
Yeah, the sideways landing I gotta work on. I have a habit of turning just before I jump. Oh well, practice.
Next time I'll try and get a few different angles

Ok well that gives a bit more insight, your actually doing it correctly I assume this happens more on sand than on grass.

Your edging hard towards the wind which is correct, the issue is on sand your back wheels will start to slide a lot earlier than on grass, hence initiating an unintentional rotation as when you pull on the bar the back wheels are just giving way.

Solution is on sand to jump before you would on grass this will aid in stopping the buggy going sideways when you leave the ground.

My personal preference is grass for this reason, more traction when you need it the most.

Your on the right kite though! :good:
