The 1.4 buster is hard to beat at $209, http://www.briskites.com.au/index.php?l ... tail&p=265, especially when you consider the value of the lines and handles alone

My lad has learnt to buggy with one and now hes flying one of my old race kites.

Also note that the buster has an adjustable bridle so you can start the kids off on the easier setting then move them up.

    Hi Jimbo,

I know how much you luv your bullets :maninlove:

but just let them use your 1.4?? :yes3: or bigger that will do them fine, and there quite robust.

@ joel i think a bar would be better and easier for them to learn on...

@ jd i think the bullet too much ive found that when it gusts they can be very rippy but i was thinking of working them up to them...

@ bgkid... buster sounds good with the adjustable bridle and good value but i was looking at second hand ... why should they have a new one when all mine are preloved... i might have to bite the bullet and let them have a new one...

    cheers all great info

with my Kites and Kids programe i use and sell the HQ Symphony Beach 1.2m at under $40 from briskites for a new kite you cant go wrong.

there are two sizes, and getting both, as a quiver, for under $100 is a steal.

for something with more expence buyt better at handleing the bangs and bumps is the HQ Rush III also at briskites is on a bar, with a third line for safety, at under $180 its a bargain.
the kite is almost indistructable, watch the video

Kitepower sell the Ozone Imps, they are also a great kite for the young ones. available in 2 and 4 line options, and even a 3 line trainer on a bar.
they start at about $130 and have proven them selfs over time.

i find that some young kids just cant handle a 4 line kite to learn with, but that all depends on their age and ability.
