I made these for my buggy and they have been working great, so I thought that I would make some for others if anybody is interested.
Buggy Seatbelt: $80 +postage
Made with an aircraft seat belt buckle, standard seat belt webbing, heavy duty winch webbing and velcro.
The buckle is a lift flap quick release, so it will not jam up with sand like an ordinary car seat belt buckle and the thicker webbing is used so that the adjustment will not slip and come loose when in use. All seams are double or triple stitched for strength.
The attachment straps are best suited to a Peter Lynn or Flexifoil buggy with side rail padding. However I can make them to suit other diameter side rails.
Updated design now available with an optional "Weak Link" (see picture below)
The weak link is incorporated into the side rail attachment.
The idea behind the weak link is that in the event of an accident the plastic link will break and free you from the buggy so that you are not traped underneath it, however still being strong enough to hold you in the seat under normal use.
The weak link is replaceable, with velcro openings and only takes about 30 seconds.
The weak link, if wanted, will be included in the cost of the standard belt, with 2 spare replacement weak links also supplied.
Footstraps: $40 +postage
Made with 25mm webbing, heavy duty canvas (for wear), velcro and stainless steel bolts.
The footstraps are length adjustable, to suit different sized shoes.
Suitable for Peter Lynn or flexifoil buggy.
The straps can also be hung below the footpegs and used as heal straps
