Have a chat to mrfloat, I know he's at least had one out in the surf, and I'm pretty sure he's a dealer so he's probably had it out a few times

Bugger .I had almost finished writing about this and my daughter comes up and gets on my space and all is lost .Here we go again.
Yes I live on the 9m and love it (ride with a decay scimitar which is basically a skimboard with thruster fins) I weigh 105 kg.Can a kite be all things to all people .?I reckon the deltas come close .They are generally regarded (aand often marketed ) as "wave " r 'noobb" kites.the only dept that the jury is still out on the argo is its unhooked freestyle performance (which I don't really care about becasue it isn't my thing)
Chris has kept most of the bridle attachments that the proto has .I have tried just about every setting and it is amazing how well you can tailor a kite by having these .Most companies go to one or two options to keep things clean and tidy and not too techie but this is actually a great feature of the argo .The kite comes with a default setting where the kite rides great and you never have to change it if you don't want to,there is a simple guide that shows some other combos and what to expect .There have only been a couple of kites doing the rounds till now which is why you probably haven't heard too much about them .This kite has also had a hammering in lessons and is going well there too .
Specifically for waveriding I have found a setting that is soooo sweet .There is only about 15 cm of sheeting from full power to full depower, fast grunty turns .This allows me to really lay out in my turns .The upwind toeside capabilty is brilliant which also opens up a whole heap of other riding options really allowing the rider to make the most of small sloppy waves that usually accompany a seabreeze .The kite is great in the big stuff too .Relaunch yep brilliant as yoiu would expect with a rounded LE .Noice noice noice .Particularly for a klutz like me and noobs

For wave riding you need a fast turning kite with plenty of bottom end grunt and a lot of depower which the argo does well.

I have sent early production kites to France, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Newcastle and down south to some place.

I get going on a surf board 85kg 6ft2 on the 9m from 13-14 knots and do better than most people on 10m and surf boards. The Argo screams upwind and boosts very high and has an amazing wind range, I was speaking to the New Zealand dealer, he was out in 37 knots on the 9m Argo (98kg and a twin tip, not ideal or recommended winds to be kiting in).

I will see if I can get some New Zealand riders to post some reviews.

PM me your details and I will organize a demo if I can. The Argo is a relay good surf and freestyle kite as well as a cruising kite. Bar presure can be set to light or moderate or rip your arms off. Power to depower can be set to smooth or punchy.

The argo 9m has similar bottom end power to the Griffin 10.5, turns as fast as a 7m and relaunches very easily. Because of the low aspect it is very stable, does not back stall and stays in the sky in light and gusty winds.

HI I USED THE 9M ARGO BOTH DAYS OVER THE WEEKEND IN WINDS RANGING FROM 12-36 KNOTS PRIOR TO THIS HAD BEEN RIDING A MIX OF GRIFFINS AND FURIAS,THE ARGO IN MY OPINION IS ONE OF THE BEST KITES EVER BUILT, IT OUT TURNS THE FURIA BOOSTS HARDER THAN THE GRIFFIN AND IS SO STABLE AND PREDICTABLE A NEWBY COUD FLY IT AND FEEL LIKE A PRO.
IN THE SURF ITS AWESOME YOU CAN CARVE WAVES AND DROP THE KITE BACKWARDS OUT OF THE WINDOW WHILE RUNNING TOWARDS IT AND IT JUST SITS THERE WAITING,THEN YOU CAN RIP A KITELOOP WITH THE KITE AS LOW AS YOU LIKE,THE BOTTOM/TOP END IS ASTONISHING AT ONE TIME I WAS USING IT WITH A SURFBOARD IN 12-14 ,AND THE NEXT DAY WITH MY TWINTIP IN 25 GUSTING 36 WITH NO PROBS(IM 96 KG).
IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A NEW KITE THE ARGO IS DEFINATELY THE WAY TO GO, I HAVE A FULL SET ON ORDER AND CANT WAIT FOR THE OTHER SIZES. :drinks:

I am quite new to the sport but are very passionate about the griffin kites started on the 08 moved to the 09 and now i am
totally hooked on the argos .
Took the 9m out for a play in 8 knots on the beach the first time we saw it , couldn t believe how it moved with very little
wind. Then finally had another go with it on sunday in 25 gusting 30 plus knots , the ride was one of the best rides
i have ever had . The Argo was very stable in these gusty conditions and was easily able to be depowered ,it turned as quick
as the 7m griffin and yet the power was not to much to handle. The boosting was out of this world and it gave a very soft landing,
riding on the waves just became a whole lot more fun with being able to ride directly at the kite and not have it drop out ,
then able to put back on the power to jump the section or on to the next wave . I would highly recommend this kite to any one
from a beginner to advanced . I will be ordering a quiver of them for my son and i. Cheers griffin

What setting was the bridle on.I was out yesterday in lighting onshore stuff .I moved the centre and shoulder bridle further forward and found quite a deal of extra zip and power in this light stuff (15 kts) 9 m 105 kg rider
