Has any one tried making a set of sliding gloves?

Well my son has been bugging me to make a set. He wants them for skate board riding and my leather gloves for landboarding (downhill) are getting rather holly.

So I followed the instructions from the Original Skateboard people:

and came up with a set of these:

Zach has already tried out his and they work a treat. Will be curious how well they work for landboarding and how well I can use Coleman slides to slow down the landboard on dirt tracks.

The gloves were between $7 and $15, the heat gun $35 and the cutting board (good for several pairs of gloves) $10.

    Regards,
    Norman.

That's what happens when there is no daylight savings, early sun down and hardly any wind. Good to get some of these projects done though.

Plummet, make sure you post up the final product :D
Given, the shorter board. Is the press mainly for just providing camber? and you've used something extra to shape the kick tail? Where are you getting your ply and carbon from? Cheers!

Nice Gloves there Plummet. Tried mine out in the dirt today briefly, good fun. The thumb pucks came off though. Perhaps I should have made them a bit bigger like yours.

Liked the vide, that sure looks like a nice run.
