    .Joel

    Hi Guys,

Well I received a package today and i'm stoked to say the least. First off I am grateful to Kerry for labeling it "Princess" just so we wouldn't get confused with the other items and Melissa think that it was for her instead of me. Thank you for going that extra step and putting my name on which items are for me :good:

Now on to the actual product, I am so stoked to share with you that i'm a new proud owner of a Shimmer Butterfly. All of my dreams of owning one have come true, each time I would look at the front of the BrisKites website I would see the $28 shimmer butterfly there and just dream of how great it would be to own one. Anyway, so I started saving about 50c a week, and eventually had enough hard earned to order one when they were reduced on special to $16. Seriously these things are the bomb, I could nearly buy two using my 10% XK Discount on top!

The packaging is simple, to the point with a strong plastic button clip that won't break as you open and close the bag all of once. I am very happy with the feel of the bag, it feels like a quality plastic not a thin supermarket bag. With the price of the item I certainly expected them to cut back on the bag, but the quality here is just rock solid.

There are clear instructions included and everything you need to get your Shimmer up and running.

Once assembled it just looks stunning, absolutely amazing. The pink contrasted with the yellow is striking and the black plastic really gives its body a depth and proportional look. Another is the plastic is quality Chinese plastic so it will last at least a couple of years outside. As the wind blew and circulated around the back yard the Shimmer Butterfly turned with the wind ever so gracefully it just filled me with joy to watch. It was so life like that the sculptor of this must be related to the late Leonardo Da Vinci who painted the Mona Lisa, as no matter which angle you look at it from the eyes of the Shimmer Butterfly seem to stare straight back at you. You just can't get that result without it being in your genes somewhere. Beyond that the amount of R&D that needed to go in to this design would of been a few years at minimum, with its sleek aerodynamic profile and well stitched seams. Longevity and great value for money!

Overall I am very happy with my Shimmer Butterfly, and will now need to offload some kites in the For Sale section so that I can work towards owning a whole quiver of Shimmers in different colours and sizes for different wind strengths.

    Regards,

You could use it as a wind direction indicator on your 19m FS.

Is there some way we can retrofit the shimmer butterfly to our secret weapon?
I'm pretty sure it would increase it's effective range by at least 15 - 20 metres!

I am thinking of placing it in his most recently renovated hole in the back yard, you could fit a small person in there :diablo:

I really think the Shimmer Butterfly needs some company Joel ,If you keep saving those 50 cents bits may I recommend the Smiley Bee to keep the butterfly company, though I''m sure I can work the extreme Kites discount into the deal for you. That would have to be the best kite review I have ever read :clapping: :air_kiss: :good: :drinks: :P :dance3:
