Resisting all temptation to make a joke I'm afraid a actually lost my donkey dick on the weekend.
It was attached with a small piece of Velcro to the chicken loop on the bar of my PL-Venom. I seem to recall seeing it lying about somewhere but I'd be darned if I can find it now, so it looks like I'm up for a replacement.

I also seem to recall people being somewhat critical of the older PL attachments and was considering upgrading the whole thing as it was so I might as well do it now. Can anyone suggest a suitable upgrade and where to get it from? I'm assuming the bar it's self is fine so am hoping to upgrade just the Chicken loop and Donkey Dick.

    Thanks.

Edit: this looks like th attachment I have:

I have seen chicken loops that come with donkeys that are separate from the chicken loop so I assume you can buy them separately. You just need a replacement that is long enough to hold your loop on.

As a plan b, I have had 2 cable ties wrapped in duct tape on my harness for about a year now ..... I have lost me dd before .... Everyone was laughing
    It was bad ....

    Lucky I had ducty :)

After a little more scrounging I cam across this web page about PL-Arc setups which says:
I have had and witnessed the Zero4 Chicken Loop fail to release on first pull in an emergency situation and heard of others. . To this, many people have replaced their Zero4 Chicken Loop. Many replace it for an Ozone or the Flexifoil CBX50 (Ref No: 76084) chicken loop and depower line which releases the depower line using the original depower line pin release - not a chicken loop - 'loop' release.

Zero4 bars can also be upgraded with the new Zero7 c/loop quick release and depower line.

What I have appears to be a "Zero4/5" control bar.

Buy a "push away" or "jerk off" style North, Naish, Griffin, Flysurfer, Zeeko, HQ Kites release that you can get to with either your left, or right hand. Do not get any style of release that you need to pull towards you on either a left or right side. Push away releases that are universal to each hand are now absolutely bare minimal in terms of safety.

Agree with Joel. I still have the original chicken loops on my Venom II and Synergy, well sort of. The original Venom was later zero bar xx?xx, pin kept on bending and evenutally broke, then got from my supplier the older one as you have shown Slarty -- it will release but needs a big tug and in light wind is hopeless but then you can easily just pull the whole darned thing off the hook any way. By the way the pin I am talking about is not the release pin but the one at the end of steel ring (Slarty will know what I am talking about).

On my Fly Surfer it's the push type, much better and always works, light and big winds.

There is an Ozone donkey dick that attaches to the chicken loop via a larks head knot, that is what I have on my Venom when I lost my donkey dick, it flops around a bit. Again all the more reason for you to get a new system.

    Regards,
    Norman.
