General Kiting

Snapped my kite bar in a beach stack on Farnborough yesterday. Took it to Andrew @ Kite Flight & Fibreglass on McBean street, Yeppoon. Had it fixed for me by 2 o'clock same day.

Solid and neat fibreglass repair - Highly recommend his services for the locals here in CQ.

Sound like a good solid stack LJ, but bloody quick service on a public holiday and all.

Was that during the down winder I saw a bunch of guys heading off on yesterday morning?

Easter 2010 we had hired a house on Todd avenue, I dropped some people back at the Rydges. On the way back I spotted this kiteboarder walking in the middle of the road on the medium strip, kite under one arm, board under the other, walking like he had a mangled back, turns out it's not his back, it's his feet, they're all cut up underneath. I offer him a lift, he jumps in the car, under his feet cut to pieces. He had done a downwinder from near the caravan park in Yeppoon, and his mates weren't there to pick him up at the other end which was down past the rydges. He had walked some gravel track back, and continued walking bare foot after waiting more than 2 hrs for them. Nice guy, seemed to know his stuff, used to fly Arcs etc. Dropped him at his car, the last I ever spoke to him

I wasn't with those down winder guys, was just mucking round on the beach with some mates - Thanks to Craig whom i meet @ ski surf and snow yesterday for the invite to hook up with them on their next Corio bay session. Alas heading back to Brisbane on Friday (or Saturday - If the weather is good gunna punch out to Pinnicale with a mate for a fish Friday night )

Pic of one of my mate, she's 54kg and on a 12m Matrixx in 18-20 knots. Tired the rope to her so she wouldn't blow away, she didn't even touch the ground.
