You'll need approx 5-6M of 70kg breaking strain dacron bridle line.
Cut 6 pieces of the 70 kg bridle line 20cm long, and make them into pigtail loops all the same length, with the granny knot the same distance from the cut ends.
Attach these pigtails to the point on your kites frame where the bridle attaches, you will need to attach 2 at the T piece in the centre of the kite.
Measure the distance from the lower spreader LE connectors across the kite, from one LE to the other LE, double this distance and cut a piece of the 70kg bridle line.
Then cut that piece of line into exactly half, then make a mark on the 4 ends of the line 8cm from the cut ends, and another mark in the exact centre of each of the 2 pieces. (singe all cut ends -pigtails too, with a cig lighter or candle)
Fold each end of the line at the 8cm mark and tie a loop in each end of the 2 pieces of line (4 loops in total), then larks head those 2 pieces of line to the pigtails at the T-Piece and at the lower spreader LE fittings, you should have a W shaped bridle across the bottom of the kite, from one LE to the other.
Cut 2 more 20cm lengths of 70 kg bridle line, make them into pigtails and then "prussik" knot them to the bridles and centre the prussik knots on the mark you made in the centre of the two bridle lines. http://www.netknots.com/html/prusik_knot.html
These are your lower or brake lines.
Measure the distance from the lower spreader to the apex of either of the lower bridles (and do check they are the same, accuracy is your friend in all things kite related!
), with the lower bridle pulled away from the lower spreader (an assistant makes this much easier). Then cut 2 final pieces of line from the 70kg bridle line and make them 10cm longer than the measurement obtained from measuring the lower bridle.
Make marks 8cm from one end of the 2 pieces of line, fold the line and make a loop with a granny knot, connect the loop to the pigtails you secured earlier to the upper spreader LE fittings.
Do a granny knot in the ends of each of these lines and these become your top line connections.
Connect 4 equal length lines and fly your kite in light winds to fine tune the throw of the handles so that you can easily make the kite fly forwards - stop - and reverse flight.
Have fun, its an amazingly fun thing to do to a 2 line sport kite.
