Had the pleasure of spending the afternoon filming George recently and I have to say I'm a bit in awe of how easy he makes this look. Enjoy.

Top effort on both the kiting, filming and post production work.

Marty, it's Geelong, next to the Botanical gardens. The older footage of Goshen was shot there too.

John, what CAM did you use, looks a bit too close in for the GoPro? Good quality.

    Regards,
    Norman.

Cheers guys, used the tripod and Panasonic cam for that one. There is a bit more footage, Marty. Maybe enough to have a play around with another vid.... Also lots of footage of George disappearing out of shot or not in the shot cos the camerman couldn't keep up  Makes me want to learn to skate! I was also slightly in awe of how well George controls that 9m Frenzy in 20 knots (I noted that on the BOM, readings at the nearby airport said gusts to 28 knots) and I was well powered on a 4m XT! I gotta eat more greens.....

It was an awsome day's kiting, with a camera man that makes you look good.

John your the Vid king... :good:

To Marty, I like Big bush buddy, they just keep triming them down to nothing these days.. :derisive:

The plan was to go over that bush and then the wind just dropped off and got a mouth full... :o

    Appreciated John :drinks:

Some interesting observations for any newbies watching Johns videos .... you will see that a good majority of Georges jumps are performed using only one hand to control the kite. This tells/proves a number of things.

    - The benifits of a kite with lighter bar pressure

    - By flying one handed, you tend to hold the bar in/near the centre. Your adjustments are more subtle reducing the chances of oversteering/choking the kite during a boost.

    - The power of the kite is transferred directly through the centre cord into your harness, not by holding onto the bar with white knuckles.

    Nice flying George :good:

That is some very cool film action. Those jumps are very controlled and pretty bloody big.

Please make some more videos like this.

Also. that spot also looks fantastic with all the roller coaster type topography to launch off.

Yeah, George looked like crap until I ran him through some filters and edited all his stacks out. Except for one.... :D
