That reminds me of a joke.

Bloke at the doctor getting a prostate exam. The doctor says " look no hands" ,........

ahhh no hands riding something you can't really do on inflatables.

I was doing some no hands on the manta the other day landboarding. good fun.

Even though i love foils i'm not conviced foils are the way on the waves. i like the huge depower, increased speed and lightning fast relaunch of me inflatables in the water.

Had no troubles with my FlySurfer Speed III 12m^2 relaunching from the surf the other day and that was when it landed nose down --- oops. Turning speed no trouble, boost high no trouble, ask JollyJumper he was there. :D

yeah i'm getting picky southerly regarding relaunch.

i want lightning fast relaunch. less than 10 seconds. I get annoyed with my 10m c4 which may take 20 seconds to relaunch. ideally i want the kite to relaunch while i'm still crashing.

12m fs speed would be WWWWAY to slow for my liking in the waves. if fact my 11 edge to slow. 10 c4 very nice. 6m reo no that is a fire cracker in the waves. i hunker for 30 knots just so i can pull that bad boy out of the bag.

in other new I'm getting closer to securing a s/h 15m speed 3..... oooh. that wont be a wave kite though it will be a light wind stormer and mega air booster.

Kites like the Unity and NEO II will be faster to relaunch than your pump up though.

I can see them being faster than many. But then I have used a foil in the water.

That was a very nice video of the unity i have the 10m and today will order the 6m since selling my psycho. In the waves the unity is much better with no backstall and more smooth power. I come off my board much less with the unity in the waves then i do on the psycho.

You can't see compared to someone with experience is very different and not moot when you come in to somebody else topic and pooh in it. This unity has more range and tighter turn with less stall then many small tubes.

Well it was a good vid and good riding and no hands riding is always fun.

I have been flying open cel depower foils for years on the land and quite frankley they relaunch exactly the same as closes cell foils. So i do have exerience in foil reluanch.

still foils in the water in extreme conditions shits me abit. theres no option for self rescue with the the kite if you can't relaunch. eg broken line or something.

If there is a way to self rescue with a fly surfer show me how i'm keen to learn it. Reading the manual it states if you can't relaunch. release the kite and swim home.

I've had to self rescue twice with inflatables. both around 800m out to sea. I was damn glad to have the option to hold the kite and let it drag me into the beach.
