You've all seen the kitesurfing and buggying/landboarding sites listed on our locations page. Thankyou to everyone that has contributed to our ever expanding list. It has really come along well and has made finding popular flying sites so much easier.

What we are now in need of are a few snowkiting locations.

I know a few of you have been snowkiting over the last couple of seasons, so see if you can use the locations page to zoom in and pinpoint the good spots you found. Once you have zoomed in, just click on the 'Add Site' button and fill in a few site details. Pictures of the sites you found would be a huge bonus too :D:D

    cheers,
    Gav

    Dan OK?

    Bump!

There can't be not one spot suitable anywhere.

Maybe we need a weekend mission to go find one!

Hey, I was skiing up at Perisher Blue this week and looking back down the range from Blue Cow, I could not help noticing a possible site. It looks like a large clear flat plain on a moutain plateau up near Dainers gap 1650m, on the righhand side when traveling up to PB. Didn't have time to go for a hike over the hill, but I guess its elevation was around 1700 and would have had plenty of snow. I'll try and post up pics. Might even try to go down next weekend to further investigate. This could be a good spot, near to the road with a car park, and not as as high up in the range like the area around Charlots Pass-back of Thredbo. Also close to Island Bend Campground.

The site is to the left of the main road in this pic (taken from Blue Cow). Dainers Gap 1650m was covered in stacks of snow today, so gott to assume there is stacks up on that plain.

Just looking at Ski.com.au and there appears to be snow in Tassi. Ben Lomond looks like it could be a possible site for snowkiting.

    out there

I was looking at that this morning also. i'd be there in a flash if not for my broken ribs. I'd heard that out the back of the summit is a big plateau and Ben is only 50km from Launnie where I live. I might go up soon and risk my ribs anyway
