Nice work Carl, not many people bother to put a video together on how to do stuff especially like yourself who has plenty of years under your belt and do it on autopilot. :good:

Throw up some advanced stuff to when you get time! :drinks:

Yeah stopping would be a good one. After having a land board for close to 9 months, I actually got out on a beach to really give it a go the last week. There were two things that I need to learn next. How to stop speed wobbles (even tho I was not going very fast, well compared to the buggy I wasn't) and how to stop. These will be very handy for me as well Carl.

a quick reply to your speed wobble problem is tighten your trucks up and trust the pull of your kite enough to lean back against it. you only get speed wobble when your weight is over the centre (front to back) of your board

Great idea for the videos, not a boarder myself, but having had to work out the buggy the hard way, some instructional videos would have been invaluable.

Thanks for these vids - really helping me starting out. Learning to ride switch and control the kite both ways is pretty much inevitable right?

yea but i dont look at it as riding switch in the skateboard etc sense as you are riding sideways, so its more of a left and right. we all have our stronger side and as you progress you will need to work on the weak side more.

Good idea Carl, just looking at the last vid on toe side and falling safely, talk about "take the hit for science", top job.

I suppose you won't be putting your board into an on purpose speed wobble and show how to get out of it, I sure would not want to put my self in that situation on purpose. :D  . I've had a few occations where they started to set in and thankfully managed to control them and not fall off. Personally I find speed wobbles more of an issue for landboarding down hill without kites.

i d actually did try to put my board into a speed wobble but i just could get it to wobble  then i tried filming it whilst stood still with somebody rocking the board but it looked really crap so i binned it. its been a very long time since ive had a speed wobble but as far as i can remember leaning back and kicking the back foot out slightly stops it instantly.

Yo Carltb, would you be able to make a video explaining how to edge on a landboard? I'm having trouble grasping it and I know it's the thing that is holding me back. If no vid, even an explination would be most awesome :good: Or, if anyone else wants to chime in - that'd be great too :D
