Kite Surfing

While surfing in the Internet, I saw articles about kitesurfing being announced as a sport for the 2016 Rio Olympics. According the news, windsurfing was dropped and will be replaced by kitesurfing. Here are the links that I have found:

It's taken a long time for it to happen, and it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

oh yeah! I definitely jumped out of my sit when I read the news. I'm just so excited to see kitesurfing in the Olympics. I wonder what country are the best when it comes to surfing. hhmm.

As long as there's more kites I'm happy.

You will know we really have made it when they have kiting worked into the opening ceremony.

@nigel: buggies in the Olympics would be cool too. international governing bodies of the other kiting sports should make an intense campaign, just like what the Intentional Kite-boarding Association did. and yes, the more kiting events, the merrier.

@goz: right dude! during the opening at London, they used a speedboat with Beckham riding on it, it would be super awesome if they used kiting instead.

They should have had Richard Branson deliver the torch via kiteboard with some scantily clad young thing hanging off his back.

pretty funny picture, they should definitely try this one in Rio, i bet millions fans around the world will watch it.

The Annual General Meeting of the International Sailing Federation approved the decision to keep windsurfing in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games with 51.3% of the votes, reverting the initial option for kiteboarding.
