    http://www.panshkite.com/index.php?gOo=goods_details.dwt&goodsid=241&productname=
Here's some of the blurb from the pansh website:

PANSH AURORA is a great high performance closed-cell depower kite for land kiting, snow kiting, buggy kiting and kite boarding/surfing. It is a 5-line intermediate to advanced level kite. The kite comes in 5 sizes- 8m², 10m², 12m², 15m² and 19m².

PANSH AURORA is a very stable depower kite. It is extremely stable in gusty conditions. The kite has big amount of lift, hang time and high flying speed. These can make you experience a really good time no matter you are on sands, snow, grass or water.

They look interesting. Quite cheap too. Wonder how much the 'ready to fly' packages would be?

Pansh is a chinese company. This kite looks like a cheap "competitor" to Flysurfers range.

I don't think their reputation was too flash in the early days of making kites, but they seem to be getting better and better reviews lately. There's a few in the demo scheme.....

My Ozone kites are made in Vietnam. I don't really think the country of origin is such a big deal these days - the Chinese can make excellent quality stuff if they're asked to. I expect my Hornet and HQ stuff may be out of China too. Haven't broken a kite yet.......

    It's not where it's made
Its the design, the quality of materials used in construction and the the quality control on assembly.
Without those 3 you could get any old thing.

Got word from an 8m owner that the bridles are wrong and it doesnt fly well straight out of the bag. No doubt he'll tweak it abit,as he did with the Ace,but he'll return to his old trusty blade :D

Put ya pocket money away for a quality brand if ur keen to progess your kite skills and enjoyment in the sport :drinks:

The first decent video I've seen of an experienced rider putting the aurora through its paces.
I have read very mixed reviews of this kite, but it looks to perform ok.

Looks like a pig to launch, however once in the sky in the very few shots we see of it the kite seems rather solid and to hold its shape. Hard to tell from that little footage though.

I wonder if the mixed reviews might have something to do with inconsistent quality control in production, if the kites aren't all being stitched together to the same tolerances or the bridling wasn't set the same you would definitely get some kites that fly better than others. It doesn't take much of a change in assembly or bridling to have a big effect on the way the kite flies and performs.

To my eye the launch looked pretty good. Considering it was a reverse launch with almost no per-inflation.
They are apparently a copy of the speed 2 profile.

    $779 for a 22m, hmm.......

Trouble launching, well really have to know what the wind speed was. Even the FlySurfers can be a bit slow in launching with liitle pre-inflation and barely a bees fart of wind. Looking at the video though, it appeared the kite was a bit more floppy than the speeds during the launch, it looked as if the fabric was not as stiff. Could not spot if they have the internal diagonal ribs / stiffeners.

Nice video though, hey why not put a GoPro on the dog, as it was doing a fine job of keeping up. Only problem is, when the dog sees another dog, well just use your imagination, you know what dogs sniff.

Hey Spartan, did the video inspire you to get one of those kite wings again? :D
