Shallow Inlet is ideal for flying at low tide. A large sand flat appears at low tide which course racing and general flying can be enjoyed. Please keep to the sand flat when kiting and do not fly amongst the parked cars. Avoid flying where boats are launching.

Kiteboarding is also popular at Shallow Inlet, it can be a smooth ride on the West side of the Sand Flat, or a much larger area on the East side of the Sand Flat. It is generally a popular kiting spot when the winds are not favouring the main beach at Waratah Bay.

Be prepared to packup quickly once the tide is coming in as the whole area disappears under water. It is advised you park your car around the edges of the location, and not out near the sand flat.
