North Rebel 2009 Prototype

northkiteboarding-com.jpg The new North Rebel 2009 prototypes appeared at the US Nationals held in San Francisco.  The photos taken from the event show a new 4 strut configuration to the kite, whilst running a 5th line setup.  The kites are said to be one pump setup, however all riders on the kites were still riding 2008 bars.  So there is no news yet if the 5th Element bar will be getting an update for 2009.  One prominent design with the North Kites is their continuation to include a more delta shape to their kites, believing that this design offers maximum performance.

"From the picts we have an indication on the sizing this year. I saw a least these sizes: 6m, 8m, 10m, and 12m all sporting the 4 strut configuration. looks like no 7m or 9m this year... they're flying on 5th lines like Foxi said, still have one-pump, load distribution panels and relaunch bungees."
