Our Aim & Our Community.
The purpose and aim of Extreme Kites is to bring individuals from Australia together to what is becoming the largest & friendliest kiting community in Australia. To reach our aims and aspirations we have guidelines in place and ask that as being part of our community, you respect these. The purpose of these guidelines is ensuring that everybody’s experience on Extreme Kites Australia is a pleasurable and enjoyable one. Extreme Kites is a place where we do not expect you to drop your personality at the door, rather quite the opposite. We recognise and respect what makes people individual, and as a result on many occasions there will be differences in opinion. We ask that you join this community with an open mind.

Forum Guidelines
Be Welcoming!
When new members join welcome them to our growing community and help them feel like they are always welcome to ask questions and join in discussion. Many of our community’s senior members have years of experience, and a wealth of knowledge that can be unlocked and shared with new individuals to the sport. We ask that you help new members that join our community and help them get involved.

Be Courteous!
The most common guideline in our community is to be courteous to others. You are welcome to challenge the points of view and opinions of others, but do so respectfully and thoughtfully. There is a distinction between a valid difference of opinion, and a personal attack. A personal attack on others is a breach of this guideline and such posts will be removed.

Be Appropriate!
There are places on the internet where explicit, obscene or vulgar language, graphics or behaviour is appropriate. However Extreme Kites is not a place where any such material or discussion is appropriate.

Off-Topic Discussion
Please do not make off-topic remarks and replies in discussions. Such comments and material will be relocated to the General Discussion forum or removed. There is nothing worse then wanting to read about a new kite and by page two of the discussion you are reading about last night’s dinner. Please make your best effort to keep discussions on topic.

No Advertising / Commercial Posting
Extreme Kites is a place for members to freely share knowledge and interact with each other. It is not an online billboard for people to post up commercial messages. We run a full range of Advertising options, if you are interested in advertising with Extreme Kites then send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Any individual found using Extreme Kites for commercial use who is not a Registered Advertiser with Extreme Kites will have their account immediately suspended.

User Accounts
Users are permitted 1 account per individual. Multiple user accounts per individual are not permitted.

Private Messenger
The Extreme Kites private messenger is provided to members of Extreme Kites as a service intended to enhance the community experience. The purpose of the private messenger is to allow discreet conversations to take place between members. Solicitation, spamming or harassment of any kind is strictly forbidden. Any member receiving an inappropriate private message should forward that message to an Administrator or Moderator right away. Whilst private messages are used for private conversation between members, they are part of the Extreme Kites database where they are stored and as such Administrators of Extreme Kites have access to these messages.

Private Messages are not intended to deprive the Community of valuable information or experiences which could benefit the entire group. Please do not use private messages if the content of the message can be helpful to others. The private messenger is not to be used to harvest and request email addresses and personal details of members. If you are not an Extreme Kites Registered Advertiser you are not permitted to use the Private Messenger for commercial purposes.

Profile Pictures & Avatars
Extreme Kites provides the facility for Profile Pictures and Avatars. We encourage you to make creative use of these. Inappropriate, obscene or vulgar graphics will be removed.

Gallery Guidelines
General Gallery Use
Extreme Kites provides a Gallery to our Members for their personal use, and we also provide a range of information and photos in the the gallery for reference use. You are not permitted to reproduce any images or information found in our Gallery without the direct consent of either Extreme Kites or the Copyright Holder of the intellectual property.

Removal of Copyright Material
Extreme Kites adheres and co-operates with all requests from Copyright Holders for the removal of their copyright material where the user has not been granted the to publish the intellectual property.

Reviews Guidelines
General use of Reviews
Extreme Kites provides the facility for individuals to easily share their experiences on products. It is intended to be used as a resource for visitors to read and research other people's experiences with products. It is not intended to be used as a marketing brochure for a product.

Commercial use of Reviews
We allow the use of our Reviews System by Commercial Users and Non Registered Advertisers. However, any review you submit you must flag by ticking the appropriate check box to reflect that you have a Commercial Interest. This advises our Visitors when reading your review of your position.

Genuine Content
Extreme Kites will only accept genuine, original and quality reviews. Reviews based on experience and opinion about the product will be approved in to the database. Short, few line or bias reviews will not be approved.

Online Shop
Purchases & Warranty
Extreme Kites uses Paymate, a 3rd party company to process all online Credit Card payments and transactions. Paymate is an Australian operated company in New South Wales. Extreme Kites accepts no responsibility for payment process through Paymate. Should difficulty arise from using a 3rd party service in relation to purchases we accept no responsibility for this. Extreme Kites will attempt to help you resolve your situation with Paymate should a problem occur however we make no guarentees.

General Website Use
Copyrighted Material
Please do not post copyrighted material on Extreme Kites. Only post content that is owned by you, or you have permission to publish. Under Fair Use provisions you can legally post a small abstract of an article. So if you want to post an article you should do this and include a link. The exception to this rule is press releases; press releases are meant for distribution and can be copied and distributed as much as you want. By submitting information to Extreme Kites you grant the right to Extreme Kites for the non-encumbered free use and publication of this information at the discretion of Extreme Kites.

No SPAM!

Privacy
Extreme Kites will not disclose any information to a 3rd party unless legally required by government authority. We do not sell, lend, rent or otherwise share personal information about any member to any 3rd party organisation. We do not disclose any personally identifiable information to any 3rd party unless requested to by government law.

Extreme Kites collects data and information such as the type of operating system, browser, screen resolution and related non-identifiable information for our research. We use this information once compiled to enhance the website to deliver you the best possible experience. We also use email and user name information in our database for our marketing and email purposes regarding new Extreme Kites Services or Events, these are not disclosed to any 3rd party and are used for our own use to contact you.

Liability
Extreme Kites will not be liable for any damage to yourself, equipment, 3rd party or entity that arises from any actions or activities based on the content from this website. We do not warrant any information to be accurate and do not condone actions and content featured on this website. Should any incident arise as of your actions they are solely your own responsibility and liability. Any action you take or involve yourself with is done at your own risk with the full knowledge that there are dangers beyond your awareness. However you continue to make a clear decision to proceed with such actions on your own behalf. We encourage all individuals with Income Protection, any type of Private Medical cover or similar insurance to contact their issuer to gain a full understanding of the cover provided when partaking in such activities.

Extreme Kites Discretion
Extreme Kites and its assigned agents reserve the right to remove any content which they deem unsuitable. These decisions are final and will not be discussed in public. Should you have a disagreement with a decision you are to contact an Administrator via the Contact Us page, Private Messenger or Email. In addition Extreme Kites reserves the right to organise discussion forums in order to best suit the majority of our members. For example, narrow-interest or minimal activity topics may be relocated or merged to a more appropriate area. Considering the real-time nature of Extreme Kites it is impossible for Extreme Kites to review all content and validate all information published. Therefore we do not vouch, support or endorse any content found on this website. All content submitted to Extreme Kites is optioned to be the views and opinions of those authors and not the view of Extreme Kites.

Use of this service is at the discretion of Extreme Kites, and that use may be terminated by the Administration of Extreme Kites at any time.
