Bridle line

9 posts in this topic

Anyone got any idea how to repair or replace a damaged bridle line? Has worn through the outer covering exposing the inner core. Dont want to risk flying like that.

You could resleave the affected area, but if the strands that take the load are damaged, then either repair or replacement is in order. If repair or replacement is needed, the next problem is what the repaired length of the bridle should be, to new condition would be nice, but if the other bridles are stretched then the kite will not fly correctly. So any replacements need to be done in pairs of LHS , RHS. I know Flysurfer offer bridle replacements, perhaps Ozone do similar.

Think i will try and replace myself. Doesnt look that hard. Just sow it up using a machine. Got some bridle line. Sounds like i have to do both sides to account for stretch. They are the brake lines.

If you have a machine it's probably easier to sew one up yourself and yes, you will need to do both sides
