    NSW and Canberra Buggy Meet

Sorry guys, had to much work (real estate agents) just has to be done. Good wind from what your saying. Question, how hard is it to get big buggys onto the beach from Currarong end, its very difficult from hammershead. Will have to try another day if possible, Sundays suit me best ... about the only day I don't work. JD

    NSW and Canberra Buggy Meet

Coming all the way from Canberra and winds/direction can never be guaranteed, 7 Mile offers a wider wind direction than Windang. (Caravan park right on beach like Gerroa) Windang is just closer for Sydney guys after a day trip with SSE to Easterly winds. JD

    Joke of the Day

My wife has received a pile of MAN jokes, very much like blonde jokes. So I was sitting there listening to here read them out, when she came to this one Well guy's I've got a good sense of humour, but this cracked me up! WHY DO MEN SNORE WHEN THEY LIE ON THEIR BACKS? because their balls fall over their butt-hole and they vapour lock (You're laughing, aren't you?!?!):rofl:

    Sydney Guys

Well guys it's that time of the year again when the beach winds return .... hopefully without the rain which has been a problem the last few years. Cronulla/Wanda beach great for SSE-Easterly winds, even southerly if you can buggy around the curve of the bay Bonnie Vale Beach - near Bundeena, ENE to NNE winds need good low tides for beach width Wyndang Beach again SSE to Easterly 7 MILE ... mmmmm 7 MILE .... light Southerly to NNE almost 180deg. So keep an eye on the wind and tides and post an adventures you maybe interested in there always plenty of keen followers. Cheers JD

    Sydney Guys

Hi Guys, I think Bob's made the best decision to pull the pins The NNE is ok for the very far southern end (Shoalhaven Heads to breakwater) if the river mouth is closed off, not sure. But the changing conditions and wind directions, I'm out to Strong Southerly wind on Sunday will mean SWesterly straight along the beach. Hopefully soon guys JD

    Sydney Guys

Guys this is whats been happening in NSW for the last few years ... good tides, wind and rain ... however don't despear weather can change between now and Friday. I'm hoping so it's been nearly 12mths since my last buggy. Shack on the beach prediction "Partly cloudy with afternoon showers or thunderstorms. High 28C. Winds SSE at 15 to 30 km/h. Chance of rain 40%" Low tides is about 2.30, so beach is usable from 1pm Good wind direction and strength, just depends on how early the rain will come in ... I'm going to seriously watch it. JD

  22. If there's any guys from NSW and / or ACT that are looking As we know the conditions in NSW have been woeful for the last few years but hopefully that is going to change this year, they say the weather conditions are changing again at least my son says who's in the Rural Fire Service, hotter drier conditions, there's never been real bushfires since he's joined some years ago - been a blessing for his mum. However to the topic Andrew and I have hit 7 Mile twice in the last couple of weeks about the same amount as in the last few years and we're going again today, I've notified a few others and seeing if there's are interested lookers here. Prediction is perfect for 7 Mile SE wind avg. 15kts - if they come true cloudy to sunny skies, no rain, low tide 5.03pm Arrival should be about 3pm and ride till dusk Enter via Beach Rd, (opposite the Berry turn off) middle marker - Carpark There will again be good conditions on Tues / Wed late low tide, even Thurs / Fri for those who fly at night Hope to see a few Cheers JD

New Years Eve Buggy 7 Mile Beach (NSW)

Thank God you didn't travel down Bob and thanks to "Shack By The Beach" weather I watched it all day watched the conditions sour and didn't go, should have gone local to Cronulla Beach, perfect conditons but usually hi-volume people

New Years Eve Buggy 7 Mile Beach (NSW)

Hi, Strong Southerly's are not good for 7 mile, the wind hits the mountain south of 7 mile, deverts inland to Nowra, then hits the escarpment divide to Kangaroo Valley and comes back out to the coast in a SWesterly direction - straight up 7 mile beach. Looks like the weather conditions (rain) have changed a bit since this morning for Tues / Wed but still along way off Best link for 7 Mile Beach weather theshackbythebeach Still SSW but turning from WSW earlier this morning There are facilities for ladies & gents at all the entrance points. 72.1

Yesterday arvo I made a new PB, slowly but surely climbing up in speed We missed out on the 50kt+ winds by the time we arrived and possibly just as well the winds were on an average of 12kts with a few spikes to about 17kts. I took the PTW Cougar II for a run with my 10m Speed 1.5 unfortunately Paul & I had to start slowly up just as the wind/beach direction kicked in good and proper so as not to mow down any beach goers that should have been indoors eating dinner and leaving the beach to us so a higher speed may have been recorded but not that day The first run that I knew was fast was 70.0k's and after a few more other runs managed to squeeze a couple more k's I was so stoked to finally crack the 70k barrier that I was doing my happy dance all over the beach Then I decided that I would take the 5.5mtr Yakuza GT for a run, now that's a different story JD
