    Cheers John, received.

    Bye Dad.

Very sad to read this. Always enjoyed Jim's company. Will be missed but fondly remembered.

Beachracers on Sysmic rims - sold

Sorry, the only bigfoot fork I've got is for the Vmax which I don't think will be any use to you.
  7. SOLD A set of almost matching Kenda Beachracers on 4" wide sysmic rims. Bearings are in good nic and there's still plenty of those rubber bits sticking out of the tires. Two of the tires match and the third seems a little squatter - I always put that one on the front.....well, after I noticed they weren't all identical..... Located Ballarat, central Vic. Grace my palm with $350 and they're all yours.

    Addicted to the Lights

Fast forward 18 months or so and we're now talking 25,000 lumens. Beautiful huge wide flood light that just lights up everything. Doesn't do the max 25K lumens for more than a minute and a good job too with all the heat it puts out at that. But an incredibly useful beam at lower settings. Plus a wall of red light, green light, blue light and UV light thrown in for good measure. And here was me waiting for a 10,000 lumen torch - they surpassed that pretty quickly. 2 more years.....5 more years.....geez, what are they going to be making then? The speed of advancement is staggering. Here's a video review of the Acebeam X80 at 25K lumens and the X45 at 'only' 18K lumens. Sadly, Marshall, who does such a good job on these reviews passed away a few months ago at age 37.

    Wilsons Promontory

Yeah, that seems to work pretty well. Good for spying on birds nests!
  12. 'Bill' was a 'guinea pig' account when I was admin that I used to ban and warn and see how the system worked.  I haven't been able to get the jhn.holgate account to work so I'm stuck with Bill.  This is fine by me and after my little melt down at Kingston, 'Bill' will be keeping - hopefully - a relatively low profile!  Cheers - John Holgate.

Thanks Mez. You could make a special 'wombat' coat to disguise Maggie.....

    Wilsons Promontory

Spent a couple of days wandering around Wilsons Promontory when the wind wasn't predicted to be much chop for Sandy point. Geez, this place is bigger than I remember and it's amazing how one minute you can be in a shady gully surrounded by tree ferns and not far away are spectacular beaches or granite mountain tops. I could have easily spent one to two weeks and still only covered a small portion of the Prom. @Chook If you and Anne get the chance to visit on your Vic trip, do it - lots of different bird species calling in the gullies. The main Tidal River campground is getting very busy/tourist-y and you probably wouldn't get a spot over the Jan holidays - but the Yanaki campground 25km away is pretty good with a loud and varied dawn chorus and reasonable prices. For the tech heads, this was all hand held footage (except for the time lapse) from the iphone using the Zhiyun smooth Q gimbal. Best viewed in 1080.
