  1. First time foil flight

So I flew my 9m Chrono v2 ystrdy. Winds were upper teens/gusty and I treated her gingerly. Had some tip collapses which were no big deal. However the trim rope kept getting wrapped around my lines when I would spin the bar after looping the kite. I even ran it over at one point when sheeted in. I also had it jump out of cleat and fully power when unexpected. Any tips...?I will say this is very different from Arc flying. Much different animal, very fast, lotsa depower. A lot to get used to, but I can tell this thing is gonna be a hoot !!

March 2017: Introducing the Peter Lynn Aero.... Peter Lynn Aero Videos... Pre 2017 Information: The new Depower Race Kite was spotted at No Barriers 2015 event in the UK. In amongst a sea of kites with colours and graphics, what's the best way to hide your latest prototype? Ahh yes, make it bland with no graphics and that won't have anyone asking any questions Photo Credit: Scott Fryer, Action Shot of the Peter Lynn Depower Race Foil Kite Photo Credit: Theo Southee Photography
  4. Foil boarding - hmmm pass

Just frothing my thoughts, but am I the only one that does not care too much or want to try foil boarding? i've been kite surfing for years and love the sport in it's original format: Kite, man, board and nature. Now I know foil-boarding can be / is part of that mix too, but all I see is speed, racing and long distance riding. Yeah so!? Kite surfing for me will always be around twin-tips and the agility that offers the rider. A foil board is way heavier, and limits your abilities to do the tricks and jumps you can with a normal twin tip. discuss.

  8. New Flysurfer dealer in WA

Hi everyone, I want to introduce myself as the new Flysurfer dealer in Perth, WA. My business is Specialist Kiteboarding, you'll find me on Facebook and on the web under the same. Flysurfer is the only product I distribute at this time, although I can also arrange Levitaz hydrofoils via the partnership recently announced. My aim is to have a small number of demo kites representing the range, and kites are usually shipped within 5-7 days from Germany when ordered. At the moment I have the following kites available for test Speed 4 Lotus 12,15,21Sonic FR 9,11,15Unity 8,12Peak 1 9m Boost 13m LEIFlydoor XL 170cmRadical 4 128 & 138Razor ( shortly)LF Foil Fish (beginner hydrofoil)I am pretty good with the mixer test and trimming so if I can help existing owners in that capacity, let me know. I've also just come back from a week in Europe testing all the new prototypes with the developers and team riders, so have lots of information about what's in the pipeline for FS in 2016. These days I am usually riding a foil board off Trigg, Pinnaroo and occasionally Quinn's so if you see me, please say hi. Hope to meet some of you in due course, James Harvey www.specialistkiteboarding.com
  9. Yep, I'm selling my beloved speed 3 $920 (free postage in Australia) **SOLD** Flysurfer Speed 3 12m, standard edition. Closed Cell depower foil kite suitable for use on both land and water. This is a great kite and is still considered one of the best kites for huge floaty jumps. Kite is used but still in good condition. Use 90% on land in a buggy. Comes with original repair kit. Lines were replaced 12 months ago and are still like new. The chicken loop has also been upgraded to the newer Infinity 2 chicken loop from flysurfer. Has had one small repair near left wingtip (see pics). The kite was NOT torn, but had a small wear mark, where the bar was rolled inside kite, so was repaired before the cloth tore.
