  1. I had a zipper on my 16m venom 2 give up on me last week. Bloody frustrating, as it was the inflate zipper and I was about to launch 🤬. The slide was so worn out that it won’t close the teeth anymore. anyway, I have fitted new waterproof zips to an arc before, but they can be a bit expensive and hard to find. So I thought it was a good chance to test out a Velcro alternative. its basically just a short sock and Velcro opening similar to the deflates in the flysurfer kites. the Velcro valves work quite well. I inflated the kite and slowly opened the Velcro. No air was escaping until it opened far enough to for the end of the sock to open. Sorry, no pictures before they got sewn in. But a few pointers I worked out for anyone wanting to do this mod. -Make the sock width about 50mm more then the zipper opening in the kite. - place sticky ripstop inside the kite where the zipper stitching was removed. - measure from the opening in the kite to the cell wall, subtract 1cm. This is how long the sock needs to be. -sew the sock in the direction you would use it to inflate the kite (pointing towards the centre) - sew a deflate valve into the trailing edge to replace the deflate zipper.

    WTB: 15m peter Lynn charger

I had one lined up, but the sale fell through. So I am looking for a 15m Peter Lynn Charger at a reasonable price. Kite only is fine. I would also consider a synergy, phantom 2 or charger 2. cheers

    Peter Lynn F-Arc 1830

Custom made 1830 f-arc Brand new, made from 2 factory fresh 1600 f-arcs and never flown. Price drop $375 This is the ultimate light wind arc and the 2nd one I have made. The first is my personal kite and it flys beautifully. Has TE deflate valve fitted and alternative tip cut mod done, which allows VPC bridle to be attached (bridle instructions included). Standard leaders attached and can be flown off any bar with single front line or 5th line safety. For EK member I will include the vpc bridle. Kite only without spars to save on postage. But 9.5mm (3/8) fibreglass tent poles can be purchased from eBay very cheap.
  5. Been thinking about arc kites a bit lately. One mod I would like to try is an anti invert / bow tie mods. But before I go to the trouble of fitting it up, I'm wondering if anyone has any feel back or suggestions based on the diagram alone. it shouldn't effect flagging out to safety and is easy swapped between kites. also wondering if it could be used to reduce the projected area, by pulling in the wing tips? Therefore giving a wider wind range. thoughts?

    Flysurfer's Bridled Arc?

If you've been kiting long enough you've heard over the years about an infamous bridled Arc of the past, then somewhere along that timeline years later a kite called the "Vision" appeared in some test videos and brochure format, never to be seen again... and now a shot of Armin on a flight to Abu Dhabi working on what looks like a bridled Arc....

Peter Lynn ARC & kite surfing

Hi guys. This is a local sale and I have the kite with me (for testing/review only), but I don't know the size. How do I tell? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/272001785393 And if I apply a depower 4-line bar to it, could it work on water? It is a closed-cell kite after all, but I am dubious about its upwind abilities. Is the price reasonable? Any advice appreciated. Thanks
