Fulcrum Down Under

Recommended Posts

Wow, it's been 6 months and I FINALLY got a decent fly on the Fulcrum yesterday.

What a beautiful kite!  You definitely need to fly it as a Fulcrum, not a Rev alternative.  The main difference being how you use the handles.

Holding the handles in the centre, not near the top, opens up the performance of the kite.  Once I discovered this, I realised why.   Rev movement is concentrated around the movement of the leading edge.  The Fulcrum movement is around the horizontal centre line of the kite. Duh! (Slaps hand on forehead).

I flew for over an hour, loving every minute.  Graceful, easy to control, easy to impress the onlookers.  Saving up for a vented version now!

Looks fantastic!!!

I watched the setup video to understand the sail design.

Pretty wild shape with lots going on!!!! :scratchhead:

It's blowin' it's tits off here and too strong for a Freilein storm vent. I might have to get a fully vented Spider, or tea bag an old sail.:yes4:

Or a "Flic" from France (these work surprisingly VERY well!)
