Currarong Beach NSW

Recommended Posts

Thanks @BobM for recommending going further south from Shoalhaven Heads. I'm staying in Huskisson for a week and took my PL Buggy to Currarong.  Parked in the town 50m easy access down a sandy slope to the beach. Winds on shore about 13 knots. Brilliant! The 7.5m LongSar as my engine gave me hours of fun. Beach is solid but narrow in places but pretty well deserted apart from 2 fishermen. A recommended location.

Note for @Chook - my 7.5m kite looked a bit small after borrowing your 15m Chrono!

Ha ha yes, as long as you had the right tools on the day.

Sounds like you had it sorted and having great fun. That's the most important thing Trevor.

Glad you liked it.  Did you go all the way past the headland (where the beach changes shape and consistency)

It works in a N.E er when seven mile is at all the wrong angles

I stayed between the town and headland which was good. Does the sand get softer further north? Must admit I felt no need to go further. That stretch was long enough for a good decent run.
