Night Buggy

Recommended Posts

I have not but have heard stories of people riding on dry lake beds at night.   They put 4 tiny lights to mark the corners of their foil kites and possibly some more to be able to tell the leading edge from the back.

Yep. Do it. Full moon kiting is surreal. I've done it with and without lights and in sand dunes also.

You dont need lights on the kite. You can see it well enough on a full moon.

Done it as well.

Except we had no moon.

The only way to tell where the kite was, was by seeing what stars the kite blocked out.

Tie a light stick (chemical lights) to the bridle, or chuck into the foil, as long as you don't turn the kite upside down it wont fall out.

Chuck some push bike lights (red and white flashers) on the buggy, just so others can see you coming.

Have fun!! :good:

Some years ago we rode under a super moon! I have a video somewhere.

It would be handy to use lights + a red light on the rear of your buggies as its hard to gauge on a moonless night whether someone is hurtling towards you or not.
